This was the first ever edition of Slamboree, a PPV that was not just a wrestling show, but a chance to honor the legends of the business. WCW started its own Hall of Fame in 1993, holding the inductions the night before Slamboree, and the PPV itself opened with the legends in the ring, several of whom would be wrestling later in the evening. The main event was the British Bulldog challenging Big Van Vader for the WCW World Title.
